David favoured gentle slopes and lots of twists and turns in his marble track. He showed wonderful understanding of the momentum and angles of his track. His prior knowledge and experience building tracks enhanced his vision, and as a result he has made an awesome marble track! David added signs, jeweled windmills and tunnels to his marble track. He wanted one of the windmills to be positioned so that a marble going down the track would make it spin, but we couldn’t figure out how to do that with the tools we had.
Josh decided right away to challenge himself and build his tracks as steep and dangerous as possible. His marbles drop very fast, but with great control. He was able to master his angles independently and with style. What a thrill ride for his marbles! Giving the boys a small base to build on, challenged them to build higher rather than longer or wider.
