So while the girls made fairies, the boys made gnomes.
They started off by looking at pictures of gnomes. We talked about their features, and noticed the classic details: blue shirt, red pointed hat, white beard, short.
MB and C drew these pictures of gnomes before they moved on to the paper mache.
Mixing and choosing colours has become second-nature to M and H.
M: Can I make my gnome with a purple shirt?
H: My gnome is going to have a blue hat…. My shirt is going to be yellow.
M began mixing a light purple using just the right amount of white and pink until it was just to his liking.
